Alumni Achieve Top Positions in the CSS Exams 2020
This year 20 LUMS graduates have passed the Central Superior Services (CSS) examinations of Pakistan. LUMS alumna, Maheen Hassan, a graduate of BSc 2011, has topped the CSS and has been inducted into the Pakistan Administrative Services (PAS). This outstanding achievement is a source of great pride for the LUMS community. She is currently working as Assistant Commissioner at the Federal Board of Revenue. Her main goal, however, was to work at PAS, which she has achieved.
Another LUMS graduate making it to the PAS group is Muhammad Ali Zafar from the class of 2017. An alum of the Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani School of Humanities and Social Sciences has achieved 4th position overall in Pakistan.
For the past few years, an increasing number of LUMS students and alumni are appearing for and qualified for this competitive examination after graduation. Thousands of candidates appear each year, but only a few are selected. In 2020, over 18,553 candidates appeared for the CSS exam from all over Pakistan, out of which only 376 were able to qualify.
Below is the list of alumni who passed this year. LUMS congratulates its graduates on this milestone achievement and hopes to see them prosper in all their future endeavours.
