Zehra Zaidi is a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Shaikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law, LUMS. She holds a BA/LLB from the University of London’s International Degree Program (2002) following which she was called to the Bar at Lincoln’s Inn, UK.
Zehra has several years’ experience practicing law in Karachi and in London where she worked in-house, at an international shipping insurance company. Her areas of practice have covered company, commercial, environmental, aviation and shipping law matters. She has over 10 years teaching experience having taught courses at LUMS and at other LLB programs in Karachi and Lahore on areas such as contracts, torts, jurisprudence, public international law, feminist legal theory and legal writing.
Her research looks at the international law of the global south, in particular the nature of compensation claims arising out of sea and land pollution caused by oil tanker spills.
